Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at 615-853-0019 if you cannot find an answer to your question.

We are an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. However, we provide a detailed superbill after each visit that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Many insurance plans reimburse 60–70% for out-of-network care, but it’s your responsibility to verify your plan’s policies. We cannot guarantee reimbursement.

Yes! You can file with your insurance for all lab work and imaging. If your plan requires you to use specific in-network labs or imaging centers, we’re happy to provide an order so you can go to the facility of your choice.

To help your first visit go smoothly, please bring any recent lab work and relevant notes from previous providers. Make sure to complete our intake paperwork online before your appointment. It’s also helpful to write down any specific questions or concerns you’d like to discuss so we can make the most of your time with us.

We will have a comprehensive counseling visit to evaluate if you are a candidate for HRT. If you are not, we will still have a full detailed discussion on other treatment methods to help you through the menopause journey. You do not have to suffer through this phase of life alone!

Yes! Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) uses hormones that are chemically and structurally identical to those naturally produced by your body. We offer BHRT in several forms—including pellets, patches, capsules, and creams—for estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone replacement.

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists recommends that women have their first gynecological visit between ages 13 and 15, or when they become sexually active—whichever comes first. This initial visit typically includes a discussion about menstrual cycles, symptoms, sexual health, and birth control options, and may include a physical exam if needed. However, Pap smears are not recommended until age 21, regardless of sexual activity.

A pap smear is a test that checks for abnormal cells on the cervix, which can sometimes be a sign of cervical cancer. The frequency of pap smears depends on a woman's age and medical history. In general, women between the ages of 21 and 29 should have a pap smear every three years. Women between the ages of 30 and 65 should have a pap smear every three to five years, depending on their HPV status and other factors.

If you miss your appointment or cancel with less than 48 hours' notice, a $75 fee will be charged. As a small practice, this policy helps us cover the day-to-day costs of providing quality care and ensures availability for other patients.

Simply Women’s Care is committed to making our services as accessible as possible. Our practice is located on the second floor of a building without an elevator, which may present challenges for some patients. While we’re unable to modify the building to add elevator access, we do offer Telehealth appointments as an alternative option for those unable to access our physical space. Please contact us ahead of your visit so we can help find the best solution to meet your needs.
